About us
Medico Estetica is the trading name for Medicoestetica Pty Ltd. ABN 17609751680. Registered address 57 Auburn Rd, Hawthorn Victoria 3122. Dr Frank Barbagallo is the doctor who provides medical services as the consultant for Medicoestetica Pty Ltd.
Our services
'We’, Medicoestetica Pty Ltd, offer private medical and aesthetic medicine services. As such, a recommendation for an intervention or other treatment will not be given if this is contrary to the expert opinion of the consultant.
Contract
We will provide private medical and aesthetic services, as defined under ‘ Our Services’ above, and within the scope of our clinical practice, to ‘ You’, the patient.
Liability
Medicoestetica Pty Ltd will not be liable in contract, tort or otherwise for any economic loss (including, without limitation, loss of profit), or for any other special, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of, or in connection with, its provision of any goods and/or services to you. It is your responsibility to ensure that you provide us with all relevant medical details at each consultation or treatment. We will not be liable for any damage that occurs as a result of your failure to disclose such details. You agree to comply with all instructions and/or recommendations given to you by, or on behalf of, Medicoestetica Pty Ltd regarding your care.
Confirming an appointment - Fee deposits
You will be asked to pay a deposit towards your appointment at the time it is confirmed for you. The amount of deposit will vary according to whether your appointment is for a consultation or a treatment. This deposit is fully transferable if you provide sufficient notice when you reschedule the appointment.
Cancelling an appointment
If you are unable to attend your appointment, you must give us 24 hours’ notice to avoid incurring a $150 cancellation fee. If you fail to attend an appointment without giving 24 hours’ notice, we will apply a cancellation fee of $150 and may ask you to pay for all future consultations and treatment in advance.
If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment or do not attend a booked appointment for a prepaid treatment, we reserve the right to forfeit that prepaid treatment.
Arriving for your appointment
Please arrive at least 10 minutes in advance for your appointment so that the necessary paperwork can be completed. If you arrive late, the amount of time available with the consultant will be reduced accordingly.
Self-funding patients
You agree to pay for the services that we have provided to you, as per the fee schedule below. Prices for other items of services which are not listed will be quoted in advance, following consultation. The fees charged by us are exclusive to any additional treatment costs that may be applicable, such as prescription creams or retail products, which will be notified to you in advance. Consultations and treatments may be delegated in entirety or in part, to other staff members.
Fees for consultations for self-funding patients (from 19 July 2022)
Facial skin consultation including dermatological conditions and sun damage (Medicare rebates applies):
Initial (up to 45 mins) $300
Review (up to 30 min) $200
Review (up to 15 min) $100
Aesthetic treatment facial assessment (up to 30 mins):
$150 (credited towards any treatment subsequently provided )
Payment must be made at the end of the consultation in cash, by EFTPOS debit card or credit card (AMEX, Visa or Mastercard only). Payment by any card incurs a payment processor surcharge of 0.7%. If paying by cash, please ensure the correct amount is given as our staff do not carry change. Payment by cheque or any other method is not accepted. If applicable, a Medicare rebate is paid back to you at the time of service. A receipt will be provided.
A sponsored patient or an insured patient is required to settle their account on the day of the appointment, as per the arrangements for a self-funding patient, by debit card, credit card or in cash. A guarantee of payment, or any other payment arrangement, is not accepted.
Fraud or debt collection
Information may be disclosed to others, including debt collection agencies, with a view to recovering any unpaid debts or other costs. Where we instruct debt collection agencies, you may become liable for any additional costs incurred.
Refunds
Refunds are not provided under any circumstances. Medicoestetica has a strict ‘no refund’ policy on all purchases, including all prepaid programs (whether these programs are paid in full or not) for change of mind reasons, in the event that your circumstances change, you are no longer suitable for the treatments or in the event that you choose to discontinue treatments. Prepaid programs of 10 treatments or less will expire and be automatically cancelled after 6 months from the initial date of purchase, while prepaid programs of more than 10 treatments will expire and be cancelled after 1 year. No refunds or exchanges will be given.
All treatments and services are not transferable to other treatments and other individuals.
Deposits paid for all consultations and treatments are non-refundable according to our cancellation policy.
Cancelling any treatment
You acknowledge when purchasing any prepaid program that the prepaid treatments fee is not refundable neither in part nor in whole, in the event that your circumstances change, you are no longer suitable for the treatments, or in the event that you fail to attend or choose to discontinue any treatments.
We require at least 24 hours notice to be given for any appointment cancellation. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, or do not attend a booked appointment, we reserve the right to forfeit your prepaid treatment. Prepaid programs will expire 6 months from date of purchase for programs of 10 treatments or less, or a 1 year expiry date for those of more than 10 treatments. Any prepaid programs purchased at a promotional rate will also expire after 6 months from date of purchase. Deposits paid for consultations or treatments are non-refundable according to our cancellation policy.
Once any part of any treatment protocol has commenced, any mutual agreement to cancel that treatment will incur a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee will be a minimum of $500 in addition to the cost of any treatment components actually completed and cost of any booked appointments that were not attended.
